There’s an underlying tension that I’m pretty sure everyone deals with in one way or another. And that tension is represented by taking everything one day at a time and worrying about what happens in the future.
What I’ve learned is that sticking strictly to any one ideology will just keep you trapped. It’s all about balance. Ideology is adopted by those who seek a “truth” or “right” path. Really, there isn’t any right or wrong way to live.
Sketch a rough outline of your future, and accept that it will change. Know that the day-to-day of living culminates toward the goal you have in the end.
I still fall back into that abyss, but I’m quite familiar with it now. Sometimes its really hard. When you feel empty, desperate for some feeling, it’s tough.
Everything comes down to perception. Are you a glass half-full person or a glass half-empty person?
We choose how to perceive what happens to us and that is the most powerful thing in the world. Only you have the power to interpret your life for better or worse.
